Establishing the Conklin Pen Company® as a leader in American writing instruments, the Crescent Filler™ became one of Conklin® brand’s signature pens and changed the industry forever. Founder Roy Conklin from Toledo, Ohio, patented the design for the first self-filling pen in 1897, causing his company to thrive and gain the approval of author Mark Twain, who became the official spokesperson for the Conklin® brand.
Celebrating the 125th year of this iconic writing instrument, Conklin introduces the newest Crescent filler 125th Anniversary Limited Edition. Combining both a well-known heritage of the Conklin designs and innovative technology of the self-filling system, Conklin brings a fresh and awe-inspiring look to its Crescent Filler collection. Crescent filler 125th Anniversary Limited Edition is made of chrome-plated solid brass, elegantly decorated with Conklin’s iconic chased engraved pattern along the barrel and cap. Conklin’s chased pattern design dates back to 1904 models made of chased hard rubber. The chased pattern quickly picked up the public’s recognition and therefore, became a well-recognized look of Conklin’s writing instruments. Each Crescent filler 125th Anniversary Limited Edition is truly exceptional, and paired with polished rose gold trims and segments of rose gold along with the grip and locking ring. Each pen is engraved with Mark Twain’s distinctive signature along with the band and is equipped with the original Conklin® spring-loaded rocker clip patented in 1916. Tastefully engraved along the bottom of the cap is the limited edition number exclusive for each pen. The Crescent Filler 125th Anniversary is a limited edition run of 898 pieces and is available in a choice of JoWo steel nib grades: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub, or Omniflex. The pen is offered in a luxury gift box with a custom-designed sleeve.
